Scleranthus is the Bach Flower for those who suffer silently, due to their difficulty to decide between two alternatives, swinging their inclination, in turns, for one option and the other.

By nature, the Scleranthus type is quiet and does not like to talk about their inability to make decisions. His difficulty originates, in fact, from an unconscious intuition that there is a third possibility that, from a different perspective, could lead to the best of both options. We can say that Integration is Scleranthus' innate resource. This attitude creates suffering because having to choose one alternative is experienced as renouncing the other. Scleranthus can expresses this indecision through balance disorders (e.g. kinetosis) or physiological rhythms (e.g. sleep-wake, menstrual, etc.).

Scleranthus therefore invites us to develop the virtue of Decision, that is, the ability to choose an option, without hesitation or dwelling on the dismissed alternatives, and  fully enjoying its functional effects. Indeed, what makes Sclernathus truly functional is the ability to see beyond the seemingly opposite possibilities, to find, even if not immediately, a 'third way' that integrates and balances the other two. But to do this, one must decide and experiment.
