Larch is the Bach flower for those who feel inferior and less capable than others, and who give up any undertaking because of the expectation of failure. By nature, the Larch type is inclined to act with a low profile, evaluating all the "risks" to which each situation exposes them. We can say that Prudence is their innate resource. This attitude, however, originates from the belief that they do not have the same capacities as others. Lack of self-esteem leads the Larch type to self-sabotage by acting with a lack of conviction and determination that leads to the auto-fulfillment of the expectations of failure that they constructed themselves.

Larch therefore invites us to develop the virtue of Audacity, which is the ability to dare, to progressively push oneself out of one's comfort zone, with the intention of enhancing and evolving one's talents and the conviction to build success. Indeed, what makes Larch truly functional is the ability to assess one’s own limits to overcome them with audacity.
