Hornbeam is the Bach Flower for those who feel physically and psychologically overwhelmed by daily tasks, although they can usually manage to complete them.

The Hornbeam type naturally feels that they need to strengthen some aspect of their body or psyche. We might say that Consolidation is their innate resource. However, this attitude originates from the feeling of not being able to cope with small everyday problems. This can lead the Hornbeam type to feel tired at the simple idea of having to face an unwelcome task and to the consequent tendency to procrastinate it indefinitely.

Hornbeam therefore invites us to develop the virtue of Vigour, the ability to activate our energies and put them effectively into action. What makes Hornbeam functional is the ability to overcome one’s mental blocks, consolidating one’s own confidence with images of success and displaying one’s talent for vigorous expression of one’s faculty for action.
