Crab Apple is the Bach Flower for those who feel their inner selves are 'contaminated' by something dirty, and anxiously wish to get rid of it as soon as possible. They may also dislike their physical appearance or despise certain particulars, and are often lovers of tidiness.

By nature, this type is inclined to seek physical and spiritual purity and cleanliness. We can say that Purity is Crab Apple’s innate resource. This attitude, however, originates from an excessive feeling of dirtiness that can even reach the point of obsession.

Crab Apple therefore invites us to develop the virtue of Acceptance, which is the ability to accept oneself and one's physical appearance for what they are. Indeed, what makes Crab Apple truly functional is the ability to accept as pure every piece of creation, including oneself, understanding that the apparent dirt that seems to cover it lies only in the eyes of the beholder.
