"The same way I open the doors of my senses, I can close them. I return to my centre and root myself firmly to Mother Earth."
Aspen is the Bach Flower for those who, being very sensitive and receptive, have a premonition of something terrible and experience inexplicable and undefined fears which they do not like to talk about.
The Aspen type perceives the impending danger or threat before others do, picking up its weak signals in advance. We can say that Receptivity is their innate resource. In fact, in emergency situations it is an advantage to catch the first signs of danger.
Aspen therefore invites us to develop the virtue of Grounding, which is the ability to ground oneself, remaining firmly stable on one's physical, emotional, and spiritual centre of gravity. In fact, it is not the mere feeling of vague fears that makes Aspen dysfunctional, but the tendency to overreact to the slightest signs of a hypothetical danger, even when this does not constitute a real threat. The qualities of receptiveness, adequately balanced by a firm grounding, can instead make the Aspen type a precious and sensitive companion.
