Cerato is the Bach Flower for people who do not have enough self-confidence in making decisions and who are misled by the advice of others.

By nature, the Cerato type is inclined to confront others and gather information in order to form an opinion. We can say that Comparison is their innate resource. However, this attitude originates from a lack of self-confidence and, consequently, a lack of trust in one's own opinion and intuition. This can lead the Cerato type to continually ask for advice from friends and acquaintances who, besides making them feel more uncertain because of the diversity of opinions, risk diverting them from the most functional choice, which was the one they had already guessed for themselves.

Cerato therefore invites us to develop the virtue of Certainty, which is the ability to trust one's intuition and faculty of judgement, and to act accordingly. In fact, what makes Cerato functional is not just trusting other people’s advice, but the ability to act with certainty, even going against the trend, after evaluating points of view different from one’s own.
