Willow is the Bach Flower for those who feel bitter and unfairly treated by life because of the misfortunes and adversities they have faced.

By nature, the Willow type is inclined to react to impediments with a sense of revenge for the injustice they feel they have suffered and complain about it. We can say that Reactivity is their innate resource. However, this attitude originates from the conviction that life should be judged by successes, and from the consequent inability to accept, without complaint and bitterness, what one considers to be unjust and excessive challenges. This often leads to the diversion of one's attentions and energies away from one's former favourite occupations.

Willow therefore invites us to develop the virtue of Comprehension, which is the ability to examine the causes of failure, to identify one's own role in it and to learn from it a useful lesson for one's own life path. Indeed, Willow's most interesting trait is not just the reactivity and complaining about supposed injustice, but the ability to understand life's challenges and integrate them as a normal part of one's being in the world.
