GUNA cooperates with Italian and international Universities and Research Institutes for many purposes, as illustrated below.

CREBION

(Interdepartmental Research Centre for the study of the biological effects of Nano-concentrations)

Framework agreement  between GUNA and the University of Milan, Italy

Over the last few years, a new trend of research has begun to spread throughout the world aimed at investigating the biological effects of low-dose concentrations of active ingredients and natural biological substances. The possible fields of application are very appealing because many results show they are effective and without side effects.

In several countries of the world and especially in Italy, Research studies on the effects of nano-concentrations have been focusing on messenger molecules (cytokines and interferon, hormones and neuropeptides, growth factors) and the possibility of using them for therapeutic purposes. The first studies and the publications of their results have aroused the interest of the scientific community on this new direction and their prospective clinical application. To better understand the specific mechanisms of action of nano-concentrations, in January 2012 the Interdepartmental Research Center for the Study of Biological Effects of Nano-concentrations (CREBION) was founded at the University of Milan, Italy. In May 2012 GUNA, the Italian leader for low dose medicine, has undersigned a framework agreement on scientific cooperation.

Many scientific and technical cooperation activities have already been started. For additional information, please visit the web site www.crebion.unimi.it

AIMS AND PURPOSES:

The aim of the Interdepartmental Research Center for the Study of Biological Effects of Nano-concentrations (CREBION) is the study of the mechanisms of action and the effects of low concentrations of substances and active ingredients for treating human and animal diseases to ensure their well-being.

This Center is intended to be a reference point of excellence for anyone who want to evaluate the effectiveness of low dose formulations by using experimental models and rigorous, innovative and multidisciplinary methods.

For this purpose, CREBION intends to create a cross network across different scientific fields, with the aim of finalizing joint research projects.

Scientific expertise and numerous ongoing cooperations among different organizations, allowed CREBION to be a reference organization in terms of excellence and amount of research studies for Public Institutions, Companies and individual Research Groups, both nationally and internationally.
