Centaury is the Bach Flower for those who are incapable of saying no because they are anxious to please others.

By nature, Centaury is inclined to be very helpful, quiet and kind. We could say that Generosity is their innate resource. However, this attitude originates from the conviction that in order to please others it is necessary to offer oneself without ever denying one's help. This can lead the Centaury type to become slavish and exhaust their own energy in their eagerness to help others.

Centaury therefore invites us to develop the virtue of Assertiveness, which means the ability to assert oneself and protect one's own resources, with full respect for others. In fact, what makes Centaury interesting is not only the inability to say no, but the ability to express the propensity to help others, thus showing a talent for being generous both with oneself and with others.
